We’re delighted to announce that well-known Christian broadcasters Pat Brittenden and Petra Bagust now have their own three-hour Sunday night programme on the NewstalkZB network.
'Sunday, Sunday with Pat and Petra’ follows on directly after CBA’s weekly chat show ‘Real Life’ with host John Cowan. It features talkback on topical issues with input from special guests, and reaches an estimated audience of 65,000, the biggest audience on commercial radio in that time slot.
Bill Francis, The Radio Network’s general manager of talk programming, said Pat and Petra work well together on air and the programme encapsulates the special qualities of each – "Pat with his considerable talkback experience and Petra with her bouncy, quick-minded responses. They are both great radio prospects for the future."
Thank you to those who have prayed with us for many years to see new shows like this come to fruition. Please continue to pray that God will use Pat and Petra to bring the Christian message to the airwaves in subtle yet powerful ways, and that this new programme will lead to further openings for CBA.

CBA is offering three scholarships to young Christians studying broadcasting or media at tertiary level.
These ‘CBA Broadcasting Scholarships’, worth $1500 each, are designed to help young Christians become established and successful in the media. They further our mission to be salt and light in secular broadcasting, and put CBA in touch with skilled young people eager to make a difference through their careers.
Applications close on 9 April 2009. For more information, visit www.cba.org.nz

CBA’s Easter programming plans include sending a CD of short radio ‘spots’ to more than 200 station managers, programme directors and announcers around the country. Each track bears a ‘Godometer’ rating to indicate how much spiritual content it contains. Busy broadcasters greatly appreciate similar inspirational programmes produced by CBA for Waitangi, Valentine’s, St Patrick’s, ANZAC, Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day.

The events of 2000 years ago are still changing lives today. Radio reaches huge audiences for little cost. By supporting CBA you’re helping us broadcast the Christian faith in fresh, meaningful ways to those who never attend church. Please consider making a donation to help cover our programme costs. We’re grateful for your support. Thank you!
